Keeper's House
Getting there
Drive north on the main road (12A) past Duck until you get to Corolla. Unless there is a thick fog, you can't miss the lighthouse.
Tips
-
The Lighthouse may be closed to visitors during high winds or lightning storms
While you are there
If you have four wheel drive, you might want to drive to the end of the paved road and try the beach. Getting from the road to the hard packed sand takes some 4x4 skill. Watch the other drivers first. You'll find hundreds of people with their 4x4's fishing. If you are lucky, you might get a glimpse of the wild ponies. If you go far enough you'll see some beach homes that are only accessible by 4x4s.
You might also want to check out the Whalehead club museum.
